Researcher, Coal Development Department
Yuzuru Sato is a Ph.D. candidate in Media and Governance at Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University. During his study he worked as an intern for “Environment, Energy, and Disaster Management Unit UNDP Mongolia”, “Information, Communications Technology and Disaster Risk Reduction Division United Nations ESCAP, Bangkok” and “Treaty Section, Office of Legal Affairs, United Nations, New York”, while pursuing his doctoral degree.
He has been working as researcher at Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) since May 2017. He has a vast experience regarding the overseas coal industry, which consists of researching coal trends, supply/demand, and infrastructure.
Most of his career as a researcher has been developing particularly in Russia, India, Australia and ASEAN Countries.
In 2008, he completed Stanford Advanced Project Management Program.
