Korean Metals Exploration, Australia/Republic of Korea
Chris Sennitt is a mineral exploration geologist with a 38-year career working in Korea, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar as well as Australia.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Geology and a Master of Science degree in Economic Geology, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.
Chris has unique mineral exploration expertise on the Korean peninsula, having worked there since 1994 for several companies, including exploring for epithermal gold with Indochina Goldfields and discovering major new tungsten resources at Sangdong for Oriental Minerals and graphite resources at Geumam for Lamboo Resources.
In 2015, he established Korean Metals Exploration with his long-time friend and geologist Kim Wan-Joong, having identified a portfolio of gold-copper-silver projects within the Gyeongsang Basin. He is focussed on developing these historical resources into profitable polymetallic mines and re-juvenating the Korean mining industry.
